מוט מייצב (ידוע גם כ-sway bar end link) הוא מוסרג החיבור הקצר בין מוט האנטי-רול לסטרט או לזרוע הבקרה — הוא מעביר כוחות גלגול גוף מצד אחד של המתלה למוט, שאז טוען את הגלגל הנגדי ומתנגד לגלגול. לכל רכב מודרני עם מוט אנטי-רול יש מוטות מייצבים, בדרך כלל שניים לכל ציר.
ידוע גם בשמות: sway bar link, sway bar end link, anti-roll bar link, drop link.
כיצד זה עובד
התנגדות לגלגול
כשהרכב נוטה לתוך פנייה, המתלה החיצוני נלחץ. המוט המייצב מעביר לחץ זה למוט האנטי-רול, שמתפתל ודוחף מטה על מוט צד המתלה הפנימי — מחלק את העומס בין שני הגלגלים ומפחית גלגול גוף.
שמירת תנועה עצמאית
מפרקי הכדור של המוט (אחד בכל קצה) מאפשרים למוט להתפתל חופשית בעוד המתלה עדיין נע בנפרד — בלעדיהם, המתלה היה נתקע.
מבנה ובנייה
מוסרג פלדה קצר או אלומיניום עם מפרק כדור אטום בכל קצה (או בוצ'ים גומי בעיצובים ישנים יותר). האורך קריטי — אפילו כמה מילימטרים שגויים משנים את מתח המוט ומשנים את יציבות הנהיגה.
תסמיני כשל נפוצים
- רעש רעטוט מהמתלה הקדמי. רעטוט מתכתי רפוי על משטחים מחוספסים, שמיע ביותר במהירות נמוכה. בדרך כלל הסימפטום הראשון של מפרק כדור בלוי במוט.
- גלגול גוף מופרז. מוט שבור מנתק את מוט האנטי-רול לחלוטין; הרכב נוטה בצורה ניכרת יותר בפניות.
- היגוי רפוי, "צף". הרכב מגיב לאט לקלט ההיגוי ומרגיש לא יציב במהירות כביש.

האם יש להחליף שני הצדדים בו-זמנית?
